DGFT Schemes That Can Benefit Service Companies

SEPC is an organization that promotes the export of services from India. It provides various services and support to service exporters, including market research, trade promotion, and participation in international trade fairs and documentation requirements for service exporters.

MEIS is a scheme that provides export incentives to both goods and service exporters. Under this scheme, exporters are granted duty credit scrips based on a percentage of their export turnover and used to pay customs duties on the import of various goods, including capital goods.

SEIS is a scheme exclusively for service exporters. Eligible service exporters are granted duty credit scrips based on a percentage of their net foreign exchange earnings. These duty credit scrips can be used for various purposes, such as payment of service tax, customs duties, and other duties.

SEZs are designated areas with special economic regulations and incentives to promote exports and attract foreign direct investment. Units set up in SEZs enjoy benefits like duty-free import of goods, simplified customs procedures, and tax exemptions.

Under this advance authorization scheme, exporters can obtain authorization to import inputs and components without payment of customs duty. The imported items are used for the production of export goods and the exporter must fulfill an export obligations.

The Duty-Free Import Authorization scheme (DFIA) allows eligible exporters to import inputs, duty-free import of inputs required for the production of goods meant for export. Unlike the Advance Authorization Scheme, there is no export obligation to be fulfilled under DFIA.
